What the hell is going on?

OK, I’m as slow as Christmas and I procrastinate way too much. Honestly, I’ve been feeling pretty crappy lately. I hope I can be honest here on this blog, just lay it all out. Did you read this? Do you think I’m ridiculous or crazy? Or worse? If so, leave a comment and say so. I’m far from being a perfect person.

I’ve been working on redoing and updating this page on the website over the past couple of weeks. I hope it’s easier to read and that you like it. I’m always open to suggestions, so if anyone thinks something needs fixing or improving, let me know. I don’t have a ton of imagination, so I’ve had to borrow ideas from elsewhere. If you have suggestions for a better, newer, or nicer way to do things, I’m all ears.

I’ve been experimenting with AI, trying to enhance my videos. It’s pretty incredible and a little unsettling. These days, you can visit free websites that turn text-based ideas into images. Out of curiosity, I tested it by asking for a picture of a naked woman on the beach. To my surprise, it worked. Then I used a tool converts images into videos, making her lift her head, look my way, smile, and wave. Wow! It’s amazing what’s possible, but also a bit concerning to think about how some people might use this technology.

I started this blog to look back, thinking about life before all these newfangled devices and electronic computers. Looking ahead feels impossible with the way AI and technology are advancing, flipping the world upside down. While modern technology is doing amazing things, this country seems to be regressing, teetering on the brink of a civil war. It’s messed up. I just want things to go right for once. I want my granddaughter to have a beautiful life, but right now, I’m just not so sure.

Over the coming days, weeks, and months, I’ll be adding more to this website. I have so many stories to share that it might be tough to tell them all—or even recall some of them. Take a look and let me know what you think. Share how you might have done things differently. I’m excited to hear your thoughts!
