A Writer practices a craft. An Author leaves a mark.

I am an author…

The first pieces I wrote were completed on a manual typewriter. All hail the slamming of keys and the total lack of forgiveness for a mis-pressed letter. In those days writing was a tedious process: first draft, review, second draft, review, spelling check (now where’s that dictionary?) and new draft. Time consuming. Back then writers really suffered at the hands of an ornery machine, sweated profusely over each draft, hoped the final draft would not require white-out. Sweet nostalgia.

Along came the PC. I had to have one, of course. Then another, and another. As soon as they were available I had to have a notebook computer. There was a time when I rubbed the letters entirely away on keyboards I worked on with frenzied thought. My mind was always full of ideas. To my mind work was just work. A job was a job, a means to an end. All that mattered was to be published.

This website is a ridiculous example of my obsession with writing. Even now, in my broken and pitiful state, I find few things in life more pleasurable than putting fingers to keys. With a broken brain and a lovely case of tremors I can’t quite accomplish what I once did but I can still pound a few things out now and again.

My greatest dream was to become a published author. When I say, “published author,” I mean an author who has published a book. I am pleased to inform you that I truly am a published author. I am also very pleased to present to you the end result of my work. No three books could hardly be as diverse as these three, though the characters within them are in many ways very similar. After all, we’re all just people.

I hope you will like these people. Well, at least the good guys. Pick your genre and then go get the book. When you’ve discovered what a truly wonderful story it was return here and offer up a review. Put one up on Amazon, too! Your words and thoughts are always appreciated.

When you’ve caught up on my books, come back here and leave a review!
